Welcome to the new Made by Claire blog, or should I say, the journal! In fact, I should be welcoming you to this new website in it’s entirety, not just the blog.
It’s been on my heart for the past year or so to launch a website for Made by Claire. As I consider myself a brand designer, web design does not fall into that category for me… yet! Maybe someday, but for now, I’ll leave that to the experts.
I purchased a web template from my friend Delcy at Homebody Creative. She’s an amazing designer and I’m so grateful she launched something so special that I can use for my own business! Purchasing a template allowed me to have a hand in the design as I was able to customize the template with my own fonts, colors, photos, you name it.
The past couple of months, I have diving deep into the world of website design, hosting, DNS records, SSL, SEO, coding, and so many other things that are confusing. I’ve only dipped my toe into the waters but have already learned so much! I am grateful for those who go before me and lead the way. I’m not sure where I would be without them in life, the design world, or business.
Made by Claire has been in business since January 1, 2019. Since then, I have been without a website. I’ve been working primarily from the Google Drive Suite and Instagram. So why do I need one now?
As I begin constructing the walls of this site, I hope to create an environment that feels homey, cozy, and inviting. It will be a space for me to share the words in my head, that they may connect with you, too. It will be a space for you to get to know me, as a fellow creative, business partner, or friend. As though you’re walking through my front door, taking off your shoes, joining me at the dining room table for some afternoon or mid-morning coffee, while we chat about our visions, our dreams, things you are passionate about, or simple & joyful moments from the day.
It will be a curated space full of past work, current work, and inspiration that I admire. A quote I revisit often is, “less is more when you do more with less.” I want to showcase work that is important to me, life-changing (or business-changing) for the client, and work that hopefully inspires you to dream. As though you’re looking at the framed photos on my walls, magazine clippings hanging above my desk, or handwritten notes on my fridge.
I pray this space serves you in even the smallest of ways such as finding inspiration for your next project or enormous ways such as inquiring for a rebrand for your business.
That is my goal for this space and I can’t wait to see what becomes of it.
Thanks for being here, friend <3
